And it is easier to start when they're young, but you can still try now. The best thing to do is to play games with someone else, so that he can watch his Dad play. I've enjoyed playing the game for as long as I can remember. I don't even remember how or when I learned how to play! Unfortunately, opponents are tough to find in this household. My spouse is not very interested, and our 12 year old would rather fire up the playstation. These are great but ambitious ideas in this digital age. Every kid should know how to play chess.
